Tim MacMillan - GFD Vice President & Chairman of Fund Committee
Tim is our resident expert on mission trips, having led 45 trips to Central America and Western Europe. He retired from Procter and Gamble after 34 years of service, finishing his career as the Cleveland District Sales Manager. He has continued to work in local Ohio churches in the roles of business manager & outreach coordinator, and volunteers as the Fund Committee Chair, and coordinator of medical team trips. He is a busy grandad to seven grandchildren.
Karen Jenkins - GFD Treasurer - Chairman of the Finance Committee
Karen earned her Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from Cleveland State University. Karen has spent much of her career in Accounting and Financial Management. Most recently, she has served as Treasurer at Medina Presbyterian Church bringing ten years of experience in the non-profit arena.
Michele Cold - GFD President
Michele has been a corporate attorney, an Academic Executive of Westlaw/Thompson-Reuters and a professor of legal research and writing. She is Practice Manager/Lead Administrator for Richard Assaf Dermatology, Inc. She co-founded the Lakewood Toy Lending Library to meet the developmental needs of Lakewood's children and families through the Lakewood Family Room. She is currently GFD's webmaster and social media coordinator.
Pat is a retired school teacher, having taught upper level and honors Spanish in the Avon Lake, OH, schools for 32 years. She literally has traveled the world, having visited all seven continents. Before Covid19, she volunteered many hours per week with Meals on Wheels, Habitat for Humanity, St. John’s Medical Center, builds bed from wood to get Lorain County children off the floor, and tutors at-risk children. She has been on a dozen mission trips to Guatemala working as a translator and also improving vision with donated Lions Club glasses in the eye clinic; has been to Nicaragua twice, serving the same needs.
Dona has been a Registered Nurse for over fifty years, and continues to work in wound and ostomy care. In between work and caring for her three children and ten grandchildren, she has traveled several times to Guatemala with our medical team and functions as our adult triage nurse.
Stephanie is a Registered Nurse, now retired from the Cleveland Clinic after many years in both pediatrics and in the operating room. She invests most of her time caring for her grandchildren. She has been an integral member of the Guatemala mission medical team, working with Becky in the pediatric clinic.
